Seniors, who are pursuing a career all areas of study, excluding music may apply. Scholarships of $500.00 will be awarded.

Applicants Must Meet Minimum Requirements:

  1. Have  a 3.0 GPA
  2. Be a legal resident of the San Gabriel Valley District
  3. Have verification of Legal Presence in the United States of America
  4. Be a graduating high school SENIOR entering college or university in the Fall 2017
  5. Be an active participant in one or more organization in the community

 Balanced Man Scholarship 

Sigma Phi  Epsilon are proud to offer your incoming freshman men the opportunity to apply for our Balanced Man Scholarship, and we are awarding up to $2,500 in total to all winners.

The  Sigma  Phi Epsilon Fraternity prides itself on the constant pursuit of the Balanced Man Ideal: to excel not just as athletes, scholars, or leaders, but in all endeavors in life.

Eligibility:
-Must be male
-Must be entering UC Berkeley as a new student in the Fall 2017 semester
-International students and Fall Program for Freshmen (FPF) students are welcome to apply

**Please note that membership in our organization is in no way a prerequisite to receiving the scholarship

The Nancy Mc Mullen Scholarship for the Visual Arts

Must be a graduating SENIOR from Walnut High School who is interested in pursuing an art degree.

Nancy McMullen was an exemplary elementary school teacher who not only loved teaching but was also a dedicated artist. Her work in water color brought her joy and enriched the lives of her students, her family and her friends. It is the goal of this scholarship to have her memory and love of art carried on by others.

If you are interested in applying, please provide the following information. You may submit this application electronically along with a photo of one of your works to raymcmulln@aol.com. (Please note that there is no “e”). If you chose to submit this in written form along with the picture, please give it to Ms. Gonzales the Assistant Principal.

The Walnut Valley Educational Foundation will be awarding three (3) scholarships of $1,000 to graduating seniors. The scholarship will be awarded in one or more of the following categories:

Industrial Technology

Teen Citizen

Accelerated Summer Mathematics Academy (ASMA)

• Receive 32 hours of math tutorial services at UC Riverside campus

• Earn full college admissions credit for summer math courses

• Tour local colleges and universities

In addition, participants will experience hands on Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM), hear personal stories from individuals in STEM Careers and learn the African History of Mathematics.
